I have researched the Cane Corso for about 2 years, looking for
the right dog and right breeder. My wife and I brought Georgie right
before our wedding and drove to pick him up the day that we got
back from our honeymoon. When we got Georgie he was a little 13
lbs ball of fur, he cried the entire way home. Once he got home
he was immediately crate trained, I was amazed. We took him to puppy
kindergarten and he was the best behaved dog in class. He is now
a little over 5 months and he is 63 pounds! He is a big buddle of
power who just likes to play. He picks up on my moods constantly,
for example I was walking him in a field across the street from
my house when a truck backed into my garage. I immediately put him
on the leash and walked back to my house to see what was going on.
When I got to the house the man got out of his truck and began talking
to me. I was extremely suspectious about him and was trying to find
out why he was in my garage. Georgie barked and growled and was
really standoffish with the man. Come to find out he was an HVAC
repairman and he was at the wrong house. After he left I took him
back across the street and Georgie was the same old puppy playing
with the kids and other dogs. Another example would be when I went
to a gas station with him in the backseat and a questionable gentleman
was walking around the car and looking in the car, Georgie went
nuts. He is a great dog and shows a solid temperament.
Jim was great to do business with. He was very responsive to
my questions and was just a joy to meet. My friend was in Memphis
when I was thinking about purchasing Georgie and he went to Jim’s
house to see Georgie and the pups . Jim welcomed him and his family
into his home and they played with the dogs and took pictures.
When we arrived to pick Georgie up, Jim was very friendly and
very open. I was really skeptical about buying a Corso off the
internet from someone I had never met and Jim made it very comfortable
for me. Jim held the dog for me until my friend got to see him
and before the deposit was even paid. After I paid the deposit
Jim’s still didn’t mind my almost daily calls checking
on Georgie and the other pups.
